Perutusan Tahun Baru (2011) KDN

Kementerian Dalam Negeri telah mengadakan Majlis Perutusan Tahun Baru (2011) yang telah berlangsung pada 7 Januari 2011 bertempat di Auditorium D8 Kompleks D Putrajaya.

Majlis yang disempurnakan oleh Menteri Dalam Negeri, Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein berlangsung dengan meriahnya dengan kehadiran oleh semua warga KDN termasuk anggota beruniform. Perutusan tahun baru ini adalah sangat penting kepada warga KDN di mana ini adalah saranan serta panduan yang akan dilakukan oleh seluruh warga KDN pada tahun 2011 ini.

Sesungguhnya tahun 2010 adalah tahun yang cemerlang bagi warga KDN di mana telah banyak kejayaan yang dilakukan iaitu dari segi NKRA, KPI dan sebagainya. Oleh itu, Menteri Dalam Negeri telah menggariskan tujuh komitmen utama KDN yang perlu diberi perhatian, antaranya adalah:

i) Memantapkan pelaksanaan NKRA mengurangkan jenayah
ii) Memberi nilai tambah kepada KPI Kementerian
iii) Meningkatkan kecekapan pengurusan isu warga asing
iv) Manangani ancaman jenayah merentasi sempadan
v) Memerangi pengedaran dan penyalahgunaan dadah
vi) Mempertingkatkan keberkesanan pemulihan
vii) Menggerakan gelombang kesukarelaan

Justeru, ketujuh-tujuh komitmen adalah sebagai satu agenda KDN pada tahun 2011 ini di mana seluruh warga KDN perlu memainkan peranan demi untuk mencapai semua komitmen tersebut.

Diakhir majlis ini, Menteri Dalam Negeri telah melancarkan slogan anti rasuah iaitu “Khidmat Tanpa Rasuah”. Ini adalah kerana tahun 2010 sedikit tercalar dengan beberapa insiden berkaitan integriti.

Turut hadir pada majlis ini adalah Timbalan-Timbalan Menteri, Ketua Setiausaha serta semua pengurusan tertinggi KDN.

The Ministry of Home Affairs’ New Year’s Speech (2011)

The Ministry of Home Affairs recently held its New Year’s Speech at the Auditorium (D8, Complex D, Putrajaya).

The event held on the 7^th of January 2011 was opened by the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security, Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein. Among those in attendance included the Deputy Ministers for Home Affairs and Internal Security, the Secretary-General for the Ministry of Home Affairs, and members of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ top management. The Ministry of Home Affairs employees as well as those serving in uniform were also present.

The New Year’s Speech served as a guideline for what is expected of in the year 2011. The Minister brought up seven main commitments for the Ministry which are:

1)    To further strengthen the NKRA Implementation of crime reduction

2)    To further increase the value of the Ministry’s KPI

3)    To further improve the management of foreigners

4)    To prevent the threat of cross-border crime

5)    To combat the trafficking and abuse of drugs

6)    To enhance the effectiveness of rehabilitation, and

7)    To create a wave of volunteerism

Those serving under the Ministry of Home Affairs are expected to play a collective role in achieving these commitments.

A brief look back at the year 2010 showed that it was a year of excellence in terms of success in sectors such as NKRA, KPI, and so on. However, 2010 was somewhat marred due to several negative incidents. To close the ceremony, the Minister of Home Affairs launched the new anti-corruption slogan “Khidmat Tanpa Rasuah”.
